Sizes & Fits

Start With the Mattress, Not the Name

Choosing bedding can become confusing because terms such as Double, Queen, and King do not necessarily represent identical dimensions in every country.

For that reason, Whiteburrow recommends choosing bedding primarily by measurements.

Step 1 — Measure Your Mattress

Measure the:

Width — from one side of the mattress to the other.

Length — from the head of the mattress to the foot.

Depth — from the top surface to the bottom edge.

Mattress depth is particularly important when choosing fitted sheets.

Step 2 — Check the Product Measurements

Compare your measurements with the dimensions stated on the Whiteburrow product page.

Do not select an option based only on the name of your bed size if measurements are available.

Step 3 — Consider Mattress Depth

Mattresses can vary significantly in thickness.

Mattress toppers or additional comfort layers can increase the effective depth of the sleeping surface, so these should also be considered when determining whether a fitted sheet is appropriate.

Pillowcases

Pillow dimensions also vary.

Before selecting a bedding option containing pillowcases, compare the stated measurements with the pillows you intend to use.

A Simple Whiteburrow Rule

Measure first. Compare second. Order third.

A few minutes spent measuring your bed can make choosing bedding online significantly easier.
